Cook County is located in the northeast corner of Minnesota in the Superior National Forest, along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior. Our close-knit staff is full of exceptional people providing excellent educational services to a diverse student body.   


We are looking for a motivated, caring person who believes strongly in early intervention and knows that every child can grow regardless of disability, race or economic status. This position is full-time, beginning the start of the 2018-2019 school year.  


POSITION:  Full-time Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Screenings (Certified early childhood teachers also encouraged to apply).



o Active or willingness to obtain an Early Childhood Special Education License.

  • Experience or willingness to learn Early Childhood Screening Procedures.

o Successful educational experience with elementary aged children a must.

o Demonstrated excellent communication and social skills.

o Experience with Native American students preferred.

o Experience with students from low-income families preferred.

o Sensitivity to family strengths and individual parenting styles.

o Experience with Formal Assessments preferred.

o Ability to maintain confidentiality.

o Passionate and committed to helping children reach their full potential.
