Cook County  School is seeking a full time Social Studies Teacher starting the 2018-2019 school year.  Valid MN licensure is required. Salary and benefits per the teachers master agreement.

 

Cook County is located in the northeast corner of Minnesota in the Superior National Forest, along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior.  Our close-knit staff is full of exceptional people providing excellent educational services to a diverse student body. We are currently looking for a motivated educator who believes all children can achieve targeted growth goals regardless of race or economic status.  This is a full-time position beginning the start of the 2018-2019 school year. Extra-curricular opportunities available as well.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

o MDE license in Social Studies 5-12

o Experience with Native American students preferred.

o Experience with students from low-income families preferred.

o Demonstrated successful experience as classroom teacher.

o Sensitivity to family strengths and individual parenting styles.

o Experience with MAPs testing preferred.

o Understanding and demonstrated success in development and implementation of differentiated instruction.
