Welcome to my web page! I am originally from International Falls, Minnesota, but this will be my fourth year teaching at Sawtooth Mountain Elementary. I enjoy reading, especially mystery stories, beading, and speaking Ojibwe language. I attended the College of Saint Scholastica in Duluth where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and an emphasis in Middle School Social Studies and a second major of Ojibwe Language and Culture Education. For several years, I taught Ojibwe language and culture for the Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School District for preK-12th grades. I am excited to be returning to Sawtooth Mountain Elementary to teach 2nd  grade and can't wait to integrate some Ojibwe language and culture into the school day! I am also starting a new program for students called CLIMB, or Creative Learning Ideas with Ms. Barras. Feel free to email, call, or stop in.
