Guidance Counseling and Testing Office

Welcome to Cook County Schools Guidance Office

I am new to Cook County Schools but I am not new to the Grand Marais area or to the field of higher education. I have spent many summers with my family exploring the North Shore area, so I came to Cook County Schools knowing the uniqueness of this community. I worked as an admissions counselor for St. Catherine University after graduating from college with my teaching degree. I am thrilled to be stepping in as a guidance counselor as well as an English teacher in the high school. I will be able to make many connections with students in the classroom and through the Guidance Counselor Office. There are so many services the Guidance Office offers. Students have access to tutoring, personal counseling, connections to the many community resources in the Grand Marais area, course planning, planning for life after high school, credit recovery and test preparation. I hope to become a go-to resource for students in Cook County Schools. The school community has already been welcoming to me and I can the support everyone strives to give to the students each day. Students are welcome to stop by my office as their schedule allows to talk about any aspect of their education or personal journey. It’s a great day to be a Viking!
