Maggie Friedrichs grew up in Plymouth, Minnesota, and graduated from Osseo Senior High. She then went on to college at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, with a double major in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Spanish.  During Spring semester of 2008, Maggie lived in Seville, Spain.  After she graduated, she moved to Minneapolis and taught English Language in an elementary school in Roseville for about four years. When her husband became employed at WTIP community radio station, they moved to Grand Marais. They enjoy hiking, camping, and fishing in the BWCA. Maggie is also a "Rockhound" and loves to collect agates to make into jewelry. She loves languages, ancient cultures, art, and geology. Bringing people together and helping them to communicate with one another has been a lifelong passion, and she is happy to be in Cook County to fulfill that dream.
