National Honor Society Induction
Five students from Cook County High School were inducted as new members of the National Honor Society in a ceremony at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts on November 13th.
Members were selected by the chapter’s faculty council for meeting high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Students inducted were: Kyla Knapper, Jordan Backstrom, Grace Blomberg, Knut Remmem, and Lexi Surbaugh. These five students join seven other students as members of the Shingobee chapter of the National Honor Society. Current chapter officers are: Kalina Dimitrova, President; Raymond Dressley, Vice President; Wren Ferry, Secretary; and Amery Oberg, Treasurer.
A reminder that there is no school on November 22, 23, and 24.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 8th at 5:30pm is the Winter Sports Informational Meeting in Pam Taylor Gymnasium! If your child is interested in participating in a winter sport please come and hear what the coaches have to say about their respective sports.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be: November 6 - Grand Portage Community Center - 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm November 7 and 9 - ISD 166 campus - 3:30 to 6:30 pm Elementary families sign up with teachers via Sign Up Genius, middle and high school families can meet with teachers in the cafeteria, and Special Ed teachers will be in their classrooms.
A reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, November 6th.
The next playoff football game will be October 28th at 2 pm at MIB. No passes.$5 students. $10 adults.
There has been time changes for both our football and volleyball games for playoffs. Football will play at 5pm at home Tuesday, volleyball at 6pm in Cromwell on Wednesday.

Seeding is officially out for section volleyball! Cook County is seeded 6th and will play Cromwell in Cromwell on Wednesday October 25th.
Congrats to the football team on a win last night! They now will have a home playoff game on Tuesday the 24th, hosting Northome/Kellhier at 6pm!
