2020-2021 Kindergarten Parent Meeting:
There will be a meeting for 2020-2021 kindergarten families on Thursday, April 2nd at 5:30 pm, Join us for a multimedia presentation about the excellent education your child will receive at Sawtooth Mountain Elementary School. At this meeting, administration and the current kindergarten teachers will share information about our small class sizes, aligned curriculums for mathematics, reading, writing and language arts, our licensed specialist teachers (physical education, music, art), our World Language program, our elementary library, our use of technology to enhance instruction, our school garden, school forest trail systems, and Winter Wonderland. Please plan to enter through the Main Entrance door and follow the signs to the Sawtooth Media Center. Free childcare will be available. Please RSVP for childcare by March 31st. Sawtooth Kindergartners Celebrate the 100th Day of School!

The Varsity Knowledge Bowl team will not be traveling tomorrow (Thursday) to the meet. No Knowledge Bowl tomorrow!!

Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 14th and Monday, February 17th.


There will be a send off for our state tournament bound Alpine Skiers on Tuesday, February 11th at 2pm. Masen McKeever, Halle Lamb, and Ray Dressley will all compete at the state Alpine ski meet!!

The health office has provided the attached checklist to help screen a child's health before sending a student to school. Please follow these guidelines and keep your child home if they are ill.


4th graders took part in a Kindness Retreat today by Youth Frontiers! Special thanks to Tony & Andrew from Youth Frontiers, Dick and Joyce McFarland, and all our Student Leaders that made the last three days possible!





Youth Frontiers along with 7 High School leaders led a 7th grade Courage Retreat today at Cook County Schools.





Polar Vortex Week: Hat Day


Today, 9th grade students at Cook County Schools participated in an all day retreat focusing on Respect.





Please make note of these events.
1. Parents night is this coming Friday, January 31st. We will recognize all parents from the boys and girls basketball teams, cheerleading, and nordic and alpine skiing. We will start that program at around 5:45pm or whenever the first basketball game concludes.
2. The Saturday girls varsity game vs. Duluth East will be at 1:30pm. No JV game, just a varsity game at 1:30pm.
